Day 337: new house

House in Boavista, Oporto, PT (Model 2005)

In the end of 2005, the graduation in architecture was still very recent. One day the “studio” agreed to do a proposal for the refurbishment of a house. The client would one pay the commission if he decided to go with the works. At that time, we have left the issue of the payment to the end and… we didn’t reach an agreement. The client has commissioned the project to another colleague. Unfortunately our work went to “garbage”, but these were the rules of the game. Everything “ended” there.

After these years, today the client has commissioned us the project of the (re)refurbishment of his house. Despite being a “light” work, we have a new project, thus we are very happy for it.

One last note: having had our first in ± half a year ago, we now have our second returning client (that is commissioning more than one project).
