Como referido em posts anteriores, o projeto do Instituto para a Bio-Sustentabilidade é para o atelier o seu primeiro projeto (a construir) de edifício público. Tudo começou em dezembro de 2010 quando resolvemos entrar no Concurso Público de Conceção (o qual vencemos).

Apesar desta novidade para nós, a qual se traduz(ia) na “inexperiência”, o atelier teve a sorte de contar a seu lado com uma equipa bem mais madura.

(Muito) Obrigado aos “nossos” engenheiros e ao “nosso” medidor.

Não fazendo parte da equipa de projeto, mas fazendo equipa para o sucesso deste “sonho”, semelhante agradecimento ao nosso cliente; através de um departamento interno da Universidade do Minho (que trata destes processos), o nosso trabalho foi tornado “simples”, muito conta por certo as dezenas de processos/edifícios que lhes passam pelas mãos.

As we referred on previous posts, the project for the Bio-Sustainability Institute is the first public building project (to be built) for the studio. It all began in December 2010 when we decided to enter on the Public Competition for this project (which we won).

Though this was new to us, which would (be) translated in “inexperience”, the studio had the luck to have by its side a much more mature team.

Thank you (very much) to “our” engineers and to “our” quantity surveyor.

Not being part of the design team, but being of the team for this “dream” of success, the same thank you goes to our client; through the internal department of the Minho University (which deals with these processes), our work turned to be “simple”, having had the experience of dozens of other processes/buildings which go by their hands.
