Private Sauna and Turkish-bath, Viana do Castelo, Portugal

Na passada sexta-feira dia 13, apresentamos ao cliente o nosso projeto para uma pequena sauna e banho-turco. Segundo nota do cliente, gostou muito, apenas lhe causando alguma “confusão”, habitar um espaço com um teto revestido a mármore.

A nossa ideia era revestir praticamente todo o espaço de intervenção a mármore (pavimento, parede e teto) à exceção da sauna naturalmente; depois, seria possível confortá-lo dotando-o de um bom tapete, de mobiliário “quente” etc. mas a base da arquitetura era essa (monomaterial).

A “confusão” gerada ao cliente é perfeitamente compreensível; lógica também. Hoje foi dia de terminar a atualização do projeto; como resultado, o mármore “caiu” do teto.

Ao abrigo de uma bolsa comunitária, amanhã teremos uma nova colaboradora a iniciar funções no atelier. Bienvenida…

Last Friday 13th, we presented to our client, our proposal for a small sauna and turkish bath. According to him, he really liked the project, but something didn’t seem right to him, to inhabit a space with a marble ceiling.

Our idea was to cover the space almost entirely with marble (floors, walls and ceiling) except the sauna, naturally; then, one would be able to make it more cosy by adding a good rug, some “warm” furniture etc. but the architectural foundation was that (mono-material).

The clients “confusion” was perfectly understandable; logical even. Today we have finished updating this project; as a result, the marble “fell” from the ceiling.

Under a community grant, tomorrow we will have a new collaborator in our studio to start working. Bienvenida…
