Day 169: unique

by Cláudio Vilarinho

Christian Kerez architect - Model of the House With One Wall, Zurich, Switzerland

A vantagem?

Amanhã é o colaborador a postar

Today we had a meeting with a company that sells a particular material. This material, little seen in Portugal (a lot in Swiss architecture), it boils down to some sporadic applications in small areas. If we have the opportunity of working with this material we will be very happy. The advantage? A material (guaranteed) for floors, walls and ceiling. Simple, very simple.

A while ago, we have read some words from the architect Peter Zumthor, which he states, that as a rule, he likes to include the whole program of a particular project into a single volume. The studio prefers the same.

Alongside the studio identifies with the work of a car painter. With a simple spray gun, he sprays the entire car body, either inside or outside. Just one coating material, as if our building was a model (of a single material) at full scale.

Tomorrow our collaborator will be posting…
