By 10h30 am the day begins with a meeting in Braga. This meeting, regarding to the Engineering Research Institute, serves to give a little more evolution to the process of this project. At the end, we have the Preliminary Study almost finished, there are only a few minor architecture adjustments missing. The client is pretty happy, and that makes us glad.

A small correction to the previous paragraph: as every day, the studio started its work at 8h am. This happened by means of the collaborator, who, following the competition at hand, “battles” for the correct design of the plans. Despite being a private building, it has a program of a public nature, and that’s where we are focused. Still on the competition, we received the first input of the landscape architects.

Recently, the Southern Regional Association of Architects organized the project Open Ateliers. According to its words, with this initiative, the Association of Architects hopes to bring the citizens who wish to participate to contact with architects and their collaborators in their workplace, organizing the studios to receive them. Excellent initiative. Yesterday, for the first time since 2007, that is, since we have a studio (not including the first two years of freelancing – the studio was a room at home), someone unexpectedly knocked on the door and a meeting came up, with the possibility of provide a project. It will certainly be an unforgettable meeting.
