O dia de hoje fugiu um pouco à rotina.

Política do escritório: Flexibilidade. Hoje trabalhamos de casa, enquanto o Cláudio ficou sozinho pelo escritório. O adiamento do seminário em cima da hora, não nos deu margem para reorganizar a sexta-feira, não há problema, o importante é trabalhar.

As colaboradoras foram para casa mais cedo – nenhuma vive na mesma cidade do atelier. Em tempo de crise, também faz bem. Poupa-se no gasóleo e passa-se uma manhã na companhia do lar mas sempre com o nosso (in)fiel companheiro: o computador.

Depois de uma tarde de quinta-feira passada a debater as intenções e a pesquisa entre as duas, na nossa cabeça estão até agora sintetizadas 3 ideias para o concurso. Esperamos apresentar ao Cláudio o que temos na próxima terça-feira, porque até lá, ele está ocupado com burocracias, telefonemas, e-mails e reuniões (daquilo que vejo, afinal, ser arquiteto é tão mais do que simplesmente projetar).

Continuamos a batalhar na fase de pesquisa e de procura de ideias para o concurso, é díficil desligar totalmente por estes dias, quem sabe a melhor ideia não aparece casualmente numa conversa com amigos que de arquitetura pouco percebem, numa imagem de um jornal ou num desenho de uma criança?

A notícia para desenhar o stand da Tektónica também nos fez pensar um pouco – é algo temporário e temos de ser rápidos. Mais uma vez: precisamos da ideia. O resto? É transpiração.

Assim se passa uma semana. Segunda-feira cá estamos outra vez.

Today, the day was a bit different than the normal routine.

Office Politics: Flexibility. Today we work from home, while Cláudio stayed alone in the office. The cancellation of the seminar almost on the spot, did not give us room to reorganize the friday. No problem, the important thing is to work.

The collaborators went home earlier – none of us live in the same city where the studio is . In times of crisis, is also good. We save diesel and we can spend a morning in our home, but of course, always with our (un) faithful companion: the computer.

After spending the Thursday afternoon discussing the intentions and research done between us two, in our heads are synthesized three ideas for the contest. We hope we can present what we have to Claudio next Tuesday, because until then, he’s busy with paperwork, phone calls, emails and meetings (for what I see, after all, being an architect is so much more than just designing).

We keep on struggling in the research phase and looking for ideas for the contest, it’s hard to completely switch off these days, who knows if a good idea does not appear casually in a conversation with friends who don’t understand nothing of architecture, within an image of a newspaper or even with a drawing of a child?

The news to design a stand for Tektónica also made us think a little – it’s a temporary thing and we must be fast. And then gain: we need the idea. The rest? We just have to sweat.

This way, a week goes by. Monday here we are again.
